Ensure that the document is flat and well lit

If you have a 1st Gen or 3G iPhone, you MUST hold the phone at least 12 inches away to get a sharp image (due to the fixed focus lens).

HOW TO GET GOOD RECOGNITION RESULTS

1. Put business card on a flat surface.

2. Good lighting is a key factor: at least a bright desk lamp or direct sunlight on a sunny day is necessary.

3. On iPhone 3GS make sure the camera is focused on the business card. On older models you should use 3rd party additional lenses to get good results.

4. Hold the iPhone right above the card. Keep the card aligned with viewfinder edges and adjust iPhone positioning so that the card fits the screen size.

5. Hold the iPhone firmly and take the picture.

6. After recognition is done, it's a good idea to check the result, since no OCR software yet can guarantee 100% result.

In next version we will add business card holder to save the original photos of business cards along with the contact details.

COMPATIBILITY NOTES

- No special equipment is required for using the app on iPhone 3GS since its camera allows to take photo of good enough quality.

- If you are using iPhone 2G or 3G, you may need additional gadgets to improve photo quality, such as Griffin Clarifi.

- Since iPod Touch doesn't have built-in camera, it's possible to recognize business cards only from saved images.

The Art of War (Chinese: ; pinyin: Sn Z Bng F) is a Chinese military treatise that was written during the 6th century BC by Sun Tzu. Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it has long been praised as the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time.

The book was first translated into the French language in 1782 by French Jesuit Jean Joseph Marie Amiot, and had possibly influenced Napoleon, and even the planning of Operation Desert Storm. Leaders as diverse as Mao Zedong, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and General Douglas MacArthur have claimed to have drawn inspiration from the work.

The Art of War has also been applied to business and managerial strategies.

1. Laying Plans explores the five key elements that define competitive position (mission, climate, ground, leadership, and methods) and how to evaluate your competitive strengths against your competition.
2. Waging War explains how to understand the economic nature of competition and how success requires making the winning play, which in turn, requires limiting the cost of competition and conflict.

Time Master can track both time and expenses. You can track time using start and stop times, duration, and/or timers. All time entries are tracked for a single day, so time entries cannot be greater than 24 hours. It will allow you to time across days, for example if you start a job at 8 p.m. and finish at 2 a.m., it will have a duration of 6 hours.

Expenses can be setup for recurring fixed cost items, such as burning a CD, reimbursement of hardware items, or fluid things such as toll expenses, automobile mileage, etc. Expenses can be tied to a Project so it can be reported with a specific Project.

Quick reporting can be done on the iPhone / iPod Touch with the Reports function. The report can be emailed in an HTML and/or CSV format.

Adding new Clients, Projects, Tasks and Expenditures is super easy. You can create them on the fly without having to navigate to a separate maintenance screen. When you run the iDiary for the first time on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you will be prompted to set up a password. Please keep the password safe because you will need it when logging into the application later.

On the Monthly Calendar view, a green dot above a date indicates that you have saved a journal for that day. Click on the date, a preview of your diary will appear on the bottom of the screen. Double tap the date to mark it with colors. Press the + button to add a new entry and enter the Editing view. You can also easily navigate to the previous and next months, go to a specific date, or return to today. Use the search view to browse all your journals in a list. You can also enable or disable the auto correction, log-in screen, sort order, and other settings. Journals will be automatically saved if the auto-save option is on. The exported journals are sorted by creation or date order. Photo will be attached when exporting in the journal editor. Click URL links in iDiary://<text> format in emails and other apps will import the text into iDiary.

If the encrypted journal was altered without authorization, or the database is damaged, iDiary will display the following message: Corrupted data!.

Use any web browser to backup/restore iDiary's data on/from your PC/Mac through HTTP protocol (requires Wi-fi network connection). Backup database can be transferred to other iPhone devices, and entries are encrypted

DO NOT delete the old version of iDiary on your iPhone or iPod Touch, as this will erase any data you have entered. When upgrading, Please install the update over the existing installation.

Touchcards 2 makes it easy to learn all kinds of things. You can import flashcards from popular sites like Quizlet and StudyStack. Lots of great decks are waiting for you, or you can make your own.

Pick from a variety of proven review methods, including the Leitner system and a matching game. Challenge yourself or your friends to beat your high score.

You can optionally provide an answer to each card when you flip it. Touchcards uses this information to present comprehension statistics and optimize the review set. You can also tell Touchcards to start out by showing you the back of each flash card.
